Crafting and making unique items has always been important to me. If I see an item on ETSY that I love but unfortunately can’t afford, I try to craft it myself via Youtube videos and Pinterest. Sometimes I fail but other times the stars align and I create something unique and so pretty. Well the stars aligned for me in a BIG way and I actually pulled off a project that I’m in love with!
I created a work apron that I can wear to styled shoots and weddings! Knowing me, I’ll probably make another one for myself just because their so fun to make. After making it, I twirled around my house with my new apron, proud of myself for creating a product that really represents me. After my husband stopped giving me weird looks, I finally convinced him to snap a few pictures of me in the apron.
If anyone is interested in making them yourself, here’s the tutorial I used: http://www.designsponge.com/2011/05/sewing-101-gardening-apron.html
I did things slightly different from this tutorial because I wanted mine to be unique but it’s super simple to follow if you do decide to stick to the tutorial. However, if you’re really not into sewing and spending 2 hrs on a project, I’m selling them in my ETSY shop! I already have orders from Poppy and Mint Floral Company [New Orleans, LA]. I’m so excited to make them for her shop. She seriously puts together the best floral arrangements and bouquets plus she’s in love with everything vintage just like me.
